Okay, it's been a few years since I've last posted to this blog. RL has caught me and my interest in sharing with you all has been limited to various forums. Anyway, I'm wasting too much time on my fetishes lately, so I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with ways to cut down.

I've been obsessing over burqas lately. This all started with reading Lady In Latex II's blog and her descriptions of the sensual feel of her latex burqa.

Technically, the garment is an Afghani chador or chadri, invented by some Afghan king to keep his wives safe from public view, and recently re-popularized by the Taliban running amok in that country.

Technically, a burqa is just the head covering and veil. In the case of the chador, it's become an entire outer garment in and of itself.

Anyway, the lightweight feel of a burqa and loose silky clothes underneath holds some sensual appeal to me.

Never mind it's yet another piece of clothing that's used for repressing women, like the corset, chastity belt and other things that I'm obsessed with.

In my wanderings through Google, it turns out there's an entire genre of web stores catering to Islamic dress codes, including the comical burqini swimsuit. There are also a host of yahoo groups catering to veiling fetishists, hijab-wearing crossdressers and others who share my interest.

For some reason, I find myself attracted to the common Afghan blue chador.

Part of the attraction for me is that the woman could be wearing anything under there. She could be wearing a traditional abayah, or naked with a bondage harness and plugs. Mmm, there's a picture...

I'm thinking about writing a story where the female American victim is captured and forced to live under a burqa. I imagine that she's controlled by high-tech devices fastened to her. Her captors seeing everything she sees, hearing everything she hears, and she's tightly gagged, with a voice coming through a speaker to speak for her. The problem with that is: Why would her captors let her go out like that?

The Burqa Band music video kind of hammers home the idea that this is such a common look in Afghanistan that you really don't know who is who under these things. It's kind of like enforced identity loss, another idea that appeals to me.

Why don't we recognize when we're in funks?

I just got out of a depression, and it just felt awful. Now I'm feeling better again, but why didn't I recognize it and seek help earlier?

Okay, so caffeine is a depressant. So is alcohol. So is too much sugar.

If somebody comes and tells me that chocolate causes depression, I'm jumping off a bridge.

Didn't I write this before somewhere?

I think what I have to do is make another bodycast, and build a belt prototype on the inside by painting the shape of the belt using silicone, then building walls for the mould with polymer clay, then painting the shell using resin. Whaddya think?

Something not very fetishy...

I've been swept into this mortgage crisis that's been in the news lately. Nationwide Home Loan declared bankruptcy today.

I foolishly refinanced using an ARM 5 years ago, and now it's going to readjust every 6 months unless I can refinance to a fixed rate sometime soon.

Now this wouldn't be so bad except right now I've only just started my own business and I don't have any proof of income, so the banks are charging me an arm and a leg in interest payments.

Trying to get a decent mortgage rate is pure hell when you're in this situation! No wonder my daddy told me to keep my "regular" job instead...

I should have listened to you Dad! I should have paid down that balance while I had a low rate! I shouldn't have spent so much of my credit on this stupid business! And my girlfriend and I both want to get married and have kids within the next year too.

I'm so sorry to my sister for spending part of her inheritance, I'm sorry to my Dad for spending the money he's giving me, I'm sorry to everybody right now.

Okay, time to stop feeling sorry for myself, and get on with trying to find a decent loan.

Maybe one day, I'll get back to working on the plastic CB...

I've been giving some thought on how to proceed with the composite belt. Currently, I'm stuck on two problems:

1) Construction: I haven't found a decent way to build the complex 3D structure using the fiberglass cast yet. My latest thoughts are to make the cast as even as possible, especially where the fiberglass goes between the legs. Then "paint" the inside with silicone mold maker. After the silicone has cured, make cutouts in fiberglass cloth in the shape of the eventual belt. Paint the silicone with resin, then before the resin has dried, lay the fiberglass cloth on top of the resin and impregnate with yet more resin. Let that dry and build another layer, then another layer, until the layers form the 3D structure.

I have to test that theory. I can try using the remains of the existing cast.

2) Another construction problem I have is the penis mold. I have to make one out of silicone
so that I can extract it from the hardened resin after it sets. So far my attempts to make a silicone cast in a silicone mold have been failures. Maybe the car wax I'm using as a release agent is too old. Maybe I should try the spray on release agent instead. There's plenty of research to be done here.

Real Life issues may be taking me away from my fetish research soon. Ah well, I needed to make a living anyway...

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's back to work we go...

I've taken a lot of time off from working on the fiberglass belt and it's time to get back on the bicycle.

There have been a lot of things going on in Real Life that I'm not at liberty to discuss, but safe to say they're largely out of the way now, so I can get back to things that are really important. ;-)

Back when I took that fiberglass cast of my waist, I wrapped the casting tape around my penis to see how that would work. Well, it didn't work too well, because my penis was very squishy at the time, and the result was not much of a shape. But I did get a rough cast of my soft penis.

Later on after the cast had been taken off, I lined the rough cast of my penis with saran wrap and poured silicone mould maker in, hoping that would result in a better shape that I could use later on. It didn't. It resulted in a very rough shape after I demoulded it from the saran wrap, but at least I had a rough model of my penis to work with. The model went into a drawer for at least 4 months until it came back out tonight.

I've used modelling clay to sculpt a smooth version of the rough model, using the rough model for measurements and eyeball estimates. I've had some sculpting tools sitting around for a while, and those came in handy to scrape the excess clay and to make the clay model roughly symmetrical.

Thickened silicone has been poured over the model and I'm waiting for it to cure.

The Plan:
1) Next I'm going to "paint" the inside surface of the mould with silicone to make a smooth surface.
2) Then resin will be poured inside to make a hard model which will be set aside in case something goes wrong.
3) Then the mould will be cleaned with denatured alcohol to remove any oils
4) and mould release applied to the surface.
5) Then I'm going to make a silicone version of the model that will be used to make the final prototype.

The rear cable on my Neosteel Male Sports belt broke while I was wearing it today, and I am saddened. Not surprised, just saddened. That cable was repaired by the previous owner, who obviously didn't have the proper tools. It's held up remarkably well, but today was it just gave up the ghost. Inquiries have been made to all vendors for estimates.

The tube and plug from Thomas were not up to my expectations. I blame myself for not giving specific-enough instructions and making sure that he understood them. Having been a computer programmer for 17 years I know that's exactly where things went wrong.

The tube was of the correct diameter, enough to prevent my penis from expanding, but it was way too long. Easy enough to fix by cutting off excess tube. That's strange because I sent him the entire chastity belt in order for him to understand how to make the new tube. Perhaps he doesn't understand how Neosteel belts work.

The plug was truly disappointing. while of the correct diameter, was not rounded at both ends like the Tollyboy plugs that I was hoping to emulate. It didn't even look like a shiny clear Bill Jones plug that he advertises on his website. And the stem, pfft. Not the 2 inches that I'd written him to make.

I've mailed both back to him with instructions for modification. Hopefully he'll get them right this time. Other than the pin on the plug they shouldn't require any new materials to modify.

I'm sitting here in my Neosteel hip belt. It feels good but tight. I noticed tightness in this pair of jeans I was wearing yesterday too. I've definitely put on some inches and need to start exercising or being more active!!!

The application of aquarium sealant to this belt went very well. That silicone liner is stuck onto the belt very solidly. There's a lot of excess sealant that went all over the liner that I now can't remove for fear of damaging the liner or scratching the steel's finish. Ah well. The stainless steel's beautiful shininess is still there. I gotta remember to cover the liner with masking tape if I ever have to do this again.

I ordered a custom leather bra from Lux Tenebrae all the way in England that should be arriving soon. They're the only outfit that I can find on the web that makes custom full bras out of leather, so they deserve a plug here. And I do mean full bras. I don't need the variety that shows any cleavage because they won't cover my medical breast forms. I'm definitely not over the crossdressing thing yet. Nobody that I've ever met ever does!

I've commissioned Thomas Hilmer at Ceinture de Chastete/William Jones Chastity to build me a better butt plug as well as a thinner penis tube for the Neosteel hip belt seen in the pictures below. I really liked the Tollyboy designed plugs and I do admire Thomas' drive to build a better mousetrap. And postage to Pennsylvania is a lot cheaper than to England.

I'll post pictures when I receive the accessories of course!

I've made some minor formatting changes to the Wikipedia page on Chastity Belts to separate "History" into more categories. Well, as far as CBs go, "History" belongs in quotes as everything that's ever been said about chastity belts' use is at best unproven. I do want to say something about CBs' use as torture devices, since that seems to be the overriding theme in the "ancient" chastity belts that I've seen.

As my thoughts have been returning to chastity belts again, more ideas for the Reinholds replacement have come up: If I take the fiberglass bone, coat it with Plaster of Paris, then coat that with Epoxy, I should have a prototype with the finish that I need!

As I have disposed of the previous prototype bone, I'll have to cut out the second one with my Dremel tools.

I've been thinking about chastity belts again recently, and dragged out my Neosteel Hip belt for inspection and maintenance. I bought this belt used, and part of the deal was that the liner has been peeling off in parts. I reattached part of the peeling liner last night, and I've done the rest of the waistband this morning. I thought it looked pretty neat when I was done so I took a picture.

I used regular ol' Dow Corning Aquarium Sealant since it sticks to just about anything, and clothes pins to clamp the silicone liner to the steel.

Ah, the box for my soldering station features prominently in the background! I have a lamp with a dimmer that blew last Monday. I removed and tested the dimmer circuit and found that the voltage regulator (basically a big transistor) was blown. I replaced it ($2.19 at Fry's Electronics) and my lamp is working again! It's good to know soldering...

I've also contacted Thomas at Ceinture de Chastete for a new penis tube for this belt. I want one that restricts the penis during its attempt to grow in girth during an erection. The tube for this one, which you can see in the background, is comfortable, but a little too wide for my flaccid state.

It's been a while since my last post!!! But I did finish the latex helmet after a couple of days. Here are the results:

I want to post some pictures of the process that I went through. First I had to carefully peel apart the helmet:

Then I glued the two sides and the gusset back together. This was the tricky part. There are two curved seams that are of different lengths on the side part and the gusset part, so what to do? Cover both sides with equal numbers of tape lengths and glue each section separately! Thanks to the folks at rubberist.net for that tip!!!

I still have no idea where my helmet came from. My thinking is towards Syren because they're the only place to also have that distinctive two part chin gusset.

My interest in Chastity Belts has waned for now, as interest in these things tend to do. Maybe it's the Effexor that my shrink has me on, or maybe even the Risperdal. Good luck and good night.

A while back, I bought this latex mask from BDG Sales along with an attachment for my Israeli gasmask, a rebreather bag and a flexible hose. Unfortunately, the mask was one size too large but it was on sale, so what the hey. It's a really nice mask with several panels for a nice facial contour and fit around the head.

Anyway, working with the instructions on rubberist.net I've carefully the mask apart and I've removed some of the material to make it 2 inches smaller in diameter both horizontally and vertically. Right now, I'm gluing it back together. It turns out that there's a special technique for gluing curved seams into a latex garment! Fortunately, I've sewn curved seams with a sewing machine before in regular fabric, so I was able to figure out what more or less what they were talking about.

Ugh. I'm coming down with something. I'm feeling achy, fevery, a little stuffy, and my digestive tract has gone haywire. Early bedtime tonight for me.

The hip belt came off after 3 days on Wednesday morning right on schedule. Thanks Strict Mistress! It was such a relief to get out of that thing, as it usually is.

The silicone edging has come loose on both my waist and hip belts near the crotch area, and they both need some aquarium sealant lovin' to get back to ship shape again.

I've tossed the previous plastered hip section and I'll start over with the other side. This time, I'll remove the outer layers before laying down a coat of plaster over the whole thing to seal off the pores. I'm still debating whether to fill out the bone with plaster then sand smooth or whether to sculpt the shape in polymer clay using the plaster covered bone as an armature. I bought some clay sculpting tools.

My girlfriend and I went to Janus' Kinky Relationships class last Thursday night. I'm not sure that she understood everything because she's really not super-fluent in English, but I think she wasn't too scared off. I do think she is starting from a very vanilla perception of sex though. But I'm proud of how maturely she took in and sat through the whole thing!

I think I've gone down the wrong path for producing my CB. The plaster covered bone that I wrote about is too bulky for what I want.

I think I'm going to have to take a step back and start over with the other side of my fiberglass cast. This time, I'm going to peel away the extra wavy outside of the bone to make a smoother surface and a thinner structure to start making my prototype with.

I went to my first class with Janus tonight! Basically a rope workshop where I got to learn and practice some basic ties. It was fun, I practiced tying wrists and a body harness with my fellow attendees and I even learned how to braid rope for storage. Neato!

I spent last night locked up in my Neosteel Waist she-male chastity belt. In fact, it's on for 2 days until Tuesday at midnight, thanks to my electronic key safe and the Strict Mistress program. No real reason. It's something I've had in the back of my head for a while.

Basically, I've spent today testing out this leather sleep sack that I bought about a year ago. I tried sleeping in it and my custom leather hood from Mister S last night, but I've got this thing about sleeping in the hood and fear that I might asphyxiate.

I'm going to try and pop the question to my girlfriend on Wednesday: "Would you like to try some bondage?"

I'll try and explain the safety procedures I'm going to prepare: EMT scissors, panic snaps at the corners that she can reach.

So what's going on in belt development?

A couple of months ago, I used medical fiberglass casting tape to make an entire mold of my waist section, and so I've got an outline of myself in hardened fabric.

I've cut out a piece of fiberglass that's a mold of my hip and I've covered it in plaster of paris. You can see the original material in the background

Right now, I'm waiting for the plaster to dry. After it's dry, I'll seal the plaster with shellac to seal the pores in preparation for molding.

I'm planning to join a piece of the prototype lock onto the "bone" using modelling clay and create a 2 piece mold of that whole thing.

This will be a prototype waist section for a complete belt.

Lethargy has taken hold of me this last week. The nights are getting colder here in the Bay Area, and I think this is a good case for my having Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I'll have to mention that to my psychiatrist on Monday.

So I've managed to get myself worked up over the new expansion for Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War, The Dark Crusade. Now whether to get it at Best Buy or on Amazon. I have a $25 Amazon certificate, but Best Buy has it for $25 locally and that means instant gratification.

Oh the choices!!!

I've also vowed to have a Champions game ready for my gaming group this Thursday night, so some work will have to go into that too.

Not to mention that I need a job pretty bad right now, and I have to kick myself into looking for one.

The prototype lock is completed!

It took a bit of work to overcome my many mistakes, but I've completed the matching piece for the prototype lock. The saw marks you see on the piece is where I cut the rigid mold in half.

Here are the pieces locked together.

It has turned out more crudely than I expected, but I've learned some things along the way:

1) When making a rigid mold, make sure it can be split apart so removing the object is easier. I had to saw the mold in half in order to extract the second piece

2) Use quick-setting silicone mold catalyst instead of the 60 minute version. And mix properly. A lot of the silicone I poured never cured and stayed in a liquid form.

3) Epoxy resin generates a lot of heat when it's setting. Here's a shot of the bottom half of a water bottle that I mixed the epoxy in. If you look closely, you can see the large bubbles in the epoxy where the bottle's plastic melted. In retrospect, I was lucky not to get a larger leak and epoxy all over my table.

4) Epoxy is niiice. I used epoxy resin instead of the polyester resin from last time. It set with a nice hard shiny surface. What was strange was that the area above the keyhole didn't set at first. It seemed to be mostly resin. After I mixed a little hardener in, it cured properly. I must not have mixed the resin thoroughly enough. I can see where the part is because it's a lighter yellow after curing.

Being Measured for a Latowski.

As promised, I'll recall my tale of being measured for a Latowski chastity belt last Saturday, September 30th.

When I went inside the Mr. S store and was pointed in the right direction, I found myself in front of Mario Latowski, his secretary and his interpreter.

They were busy taking someone's measurements, so I took some pictures of their display:

On the left, is the measuring sample. On the right is a demonstration model of an actual belt.
The measuring sample is the outer shell of a belt, but instead of locks, the two halves are laced together at each hip.

When I was measured, I stripped down to my underwear, and wore this wrestling singlet that was provided for me. The measuring sample was laced onto me as tightly as possible. Mr. Latowski them poked his fingers around my hip bone, taking notes where extra needed to be added or removed to fit my bone structure.

Each integrated lock is actually a small padlock inside a square metal tube. The hasp closes around a grooved locking post that extends from the silicone(?) hip pad through a hole in the rear half of the belt and through the square tube. There are extra holes for adjustability.

A very nice design, and an even better example of craftsmanship. The interior is what you'd expect from welded steel, and you can see vestiges of that on the inside of the belt, which has been sanded. But the chrome polish on the exterior is marvelous!

Here's a cutaway photo of the silicone liner. It's not oriented the right way. The right side is what faces the bottom of the belt. The belt comes with two holes that align with matching holes in the liner. The idea is to use a syringe to squirt water down these holes for cleaning.

The penis cavity comes in standard sizes. A sample model for the cavity is shown above.

And here's nobody you want to know and Mario Latowski. He's the one in the orange gi (karate uniform). I have a photo of his friend who was demonstrating his own Latowski belt (and a full leather suit with attached lockable mittens, but I don't think that I should publish his likeness without written permission, a signature.

Disaster strikes! My impatience from yesterday has cost me! I neglected to paint on that second coat of silicone, so the walls of the mold turned out too thin. I was unable to pry the clay original away from the silicone and the hard resin backing without tearing the silicone apart. Here's the result looking appropriately like a burst bubble.

Fortunately, I have a backup plan. The hard backing that I made of resin is has captured the shape that I need. I can get away with using it as the basis for a new mold. After re-inserting the dowel and sealing the area around the dowel with modelling clay, I have coated the inside with silicone. This will cure to form a mold in the shape I want.

When I pull out the casting, I will destroy the temporary silicone mold in the process, but since I'm only going to cast this particular piece once, I don't care whether the silicone survives or not.

As an alternative, I think I could have sprayed the resin with mold release and used that to cast the piece directly.

Oh well, more waiting while the new silicone cures...

I've gone with impatience and foregone the second coat of silicone.

I've taken some of the aforementioned ancient Bondo resin and mixed it with some equally ancient hand-chopped fiberglass and smeared it over the cured silicone. The clay prototype is still inside.

No, it doesn't look pretty does it? If you look closely, you might be able to see some stray glass fibers. I am a little concerned about my ability to pull the stick out, which reminds me that I'd better clear out the area where the key turns.

Hopefully when the resin cures, I can peel the lot off the plastic drop cloth, cut off the excess silicone, then I'll have a nice rigid mold for the second half of my prototype.

Found some ancient Bondo Resin and fiberglass cloth.

I mixed a sample of the ancient resin with some of catalyst to see whether it's still good.

I have now learned never to mix resin in a styrofoam cup because the styro can't take the heat and disintegrates!

Ah well, the resin mix is now curing in my plant tray. I'll find out how well it works tomorrow...

My trip to TAP Plastics was a success! I have more mold making stuff, some epoxy resin to play with, a urethane foam kit in case I decide to use it, some opaque red dye for the external coat, 1200 and 2400 grit sandpaper, and mold release spray. The marine epoxy was tempting for its claim to be a non-odourous product, but the store guy said that the slightly cheaper general-use epoxy will suit my purposes.

On with the show:

Instead of making a mold out of solid silicone like last time, I'm going to try a different technique to save on that expensive stuff and back a thin layer of silicone with a hard fiberglass shell.

I made the matching part for the prototype locking mechanism out of modelling clay and I've poured 2 fl. oz. of RTV silicone mold making compound over it:

As you can see, 2 fl. oz was way too much and it made a big mess.

Now do I go for a second coat of silicone, or pour the supporting resin with a little chopped fiberglass over it?

It's late for a decision and the silicone is still curing anyway.
Next time, I'll definitely have to get the Fast Cure catalyst instead of the Regular...

I have some pictures of the prototype part. It's still curing, so you'll see some fingerprints on the surface, but those will come out if I choose to sand this thing.

I've spent about an hour synchronizing my collection of Insex videos. When I first ran across them, they struck me as being harsh, but the more I watch them, the more I'm convinced that PD was a good dom. Well most of the time anyway. A few times, I got the impression that he went beyond the model's limits and beyond what I'd consider to be safe S&M play. Like when he suspends models only by a collar around their necks, or when he plays with electricity around a model's chest. You can't get video like that anymore, but that's probably a good thing. Maybe I'm just jaded as fuck right now.

Talked to my girlfriend about accepting me as a kinky-type person tonight. I think it went well with us expressing our feelings about that part of my personality. I just went over my latex and crossdressing fetishes and the possibility of introducing her to the others later.

She and I are quite serious, so I'm glad that she's willing to try and put up with it and even experiment with kink together. That's all that I could really ask her to do, so I'm satisfied.

I've cast my first prototype piece for the composite chastity belt.

Yesterday, I created a prototype in modelling clay, sealed a cardboard box, and poured silicone molding mix over the prototype to create a mold. Then after the silicone cured, I removed the modelling clay prototype, and poured resin and catalyst into the mold.

I used polyester resin (Castin Craft clear), which is the variety of resin that stinks to high hell like chemicals. Next time, I'll try epoxy resin which is supposed to have much less odor and cure dry to the touch as opposed to polyester which cures tacky. I'm starting to believe that Alumilite resin is a variety of epoxy resin. Being able to use a non-toxic resin is pretty important for something I'm going to be wearing next to my skin, doncha think?

This first piece is just a prototype to test my locking mechanism, so it doesn't really matter what it's made of.

Welcome to my blog! First, let me introduce myself. My name is Alphax (capitalization not required), and I suppose my claim to fame thus far is writing an erotic story called Presents back in 1994 that was well recieved.

Since my adolescence and maybe even before then, I've been sexually turned on by tight and shiny clothes be they satin, PVC, latex, nylon. I've dabbled in being a crossdresser, in corsets, in bridal gowns.

Most recently I've been obsessed by chastity belts. Yes, I guard that wikipedia entry like a hawk!

That brings me to why I've started blogging after lurking for so many years:

I'm building a fiberglass chastity belt based on the defunct Reinholds company's design.

I've spent a lot of time and mental energy coming up with design, materials, and a process for putting everything together and it's been lonely...

So here I am. Throwing it out there and seeing if it sticks.
